Yihang Li | Co-Secretary General
Currently a junior at Dover Bay Secondary School, Yihang is honoured to be serving as a Co-Secretary General of NMUN 2025. Ever since stumbling upon her first conference in grade 7, where she delivered a few rushed and barely audible sentences over Zoom, Yihang has cultivated a profound passion for the world of debate and diplomacy. MUN has left her with a plethora of unparalleled experiences, from fervent table knocking and late-night resolution writing to building cherished friendships. Outside of the committee room, Yihang can be found indulging in long strolls at the beach, justifying her matcha addiction, and losing her voice while attempting to sing along to her Spotify playlist. Yihang sincerely looks forward to meeting everyone at NMUN 2025!
Selina Ma | Co-Secretary General
Stepping into her junior year at Dover Bay Secondary, Selina is profoundly honored to serve as Co-Secretary General at NMUN 2025. Her journey began four years ago when her younger self wandered into a WHO committee room, unsure of what to expect; little did she know this discovery would open the door to the fascinating world of Model United Nations. Selina cherishes the intense debates on pressing global challenges, and friends she meets through MUN. Beyond the formalities of conferences, Selina can be found listening to true crimes on YouTube, watching the breathtaking skies of Nanaimo, and procrastinating on her biology assignments. This year, Selina eagerly looks forward to a day filled with transformative discussions and resolutions on Vancouver Island!
Ian Xu | USG Delegate Affairs
A grade 11 student at Dover Bay Secondary School, Ian is ecstatic to be serving as the USG of Delegate Affairs at NMUN 2025. Since embarking on his Model UN journey three years ago, he has completely fallen in love with the chaos, collaboration, and creativity that Model UN is all about. He is eternally grateful for the various experiences and friendships he has gained through this unique extracurricular activity. Outside of Model UN, you can find Ian munching on a salad twice the regular size at the cafeteria, studying at 2 a.m. for a math test after a week of procrastination, or taking spontaneous trips into the wilderness. He cannot wait to meet all the delegates at NMUN and hopes to help make their experience an unforgettable one!
Joel Sese | USG Marketing
With his first-ever speech starting off strong stumbling on the projector cord on the walk to the podium, Joel, a junior at Dover Bay Secondary, is extremely jubilant to serve as the USG of Marketing for the second iteration of NMUN 2025. From analyzing the schedule's lunch breaks, calculating the exact amount of time needed to walk to the nearest Jollibee in Vancouver, to late-night TikToks and overpreparing too many speeches on his Notion page in the hotel room at 1AM, Joel has undoubtedly gained many unforgettable memories over the past few years as an aspiring delegate. He is eager to continue exploring this diplomatic, non-spectator world of Model UN now as a secretariat member. When not in the committee room, Joel can be found cleaning out his rabbit's litter box for the 200th time, unhealthily admiring his collection of Funko pops, or meticulously annotating a mystery-thriller novel to the closest detail.
Rishi Lim | USG IT & Media
Rishi is a Grade 12 student at Dover Bay Secondary and is honoured to serve as the USG of IT and Media at NMUN 2025. Since joining Model UN two years ago, he has been enthralled by the lively debates, thunderous table-knocking, and unexpected interactions that characterize it. He hopes that NMUN will leave a similar mark on delegates as each conference has left on him. Outside of debate and diplomacy, Rishi can be found tinkering with Robotics, making a Tim Hortons run, or exploring the streets of a new city. As the date of the conference nears, he looks forward to meeting all the delegates at NMUN!
Jack Bannister | USG Outreach
Currently in 11th grade at Dover Bay Secondary School, Jack is absolutely ecstatic to be serving as the USG of Outreach for this year's iteration of NMUN. Ever since his first conference, where he read the backgrounder while the secretariat speech was occurring and doing a quick Google search of his country that showed absolutely no helpful information, Jack has been enthralled in the chaotically calm world of Model United Nations, from raising his placard for the first time to the first speech quickly scribbled on a ripped-up piece of lined paper. Outside of the committee room, he can be seen obsessing over cars and Lego, especially Lego cars. Jack is absolutely thrilled to witness all the exciting debates that will occur and the passionate delegates who make them.
